Launching a Transcription API
I launched despeech.com last month. It's a dead simple transcription API service that allows you to download and transcribe audio by posting a URL. Getting easy access to GPUs for transcription was one of the pain points I had when working with audio data in my last role. I decided to solve it for myself and anyone else who might have the same problem.
I may well post more in depth in the future about what I've used but I really like the stack I've chosen for this and can see myself launching other API services if things work out.
I'm already using despeech myself on other projects so thought it was high time I released it to the world.
In other news, I ventured out from my little home office into the bright lights of Serverless Days Cardiff this month. The highlight of my day was being able to control a Boston Dynamics Spot robot using a custom controller!
Anyway - enjoy this months articles and code that caught my eye,
Ian
